Welcome to the whacky world of Penny's Media Esoterica, this is the one stop shop for all of my favourite and most interesting strange media discoveries. Weird Horny anime ovas, kinda scary outsider art, ultra low budget fan films, beautifully terrible music, it is all to be put here with the hope that someone else will find themself encanted by the strange and hypnotic collection of weird art I love.

Truly one of the most enthralling movie watching experiences you can have in 100 minutes, 'Scammerhead' feels like falling directly into the mind of a completely insane and eccentric ex tech bro who now uses his money almost exclusively to make his obsurdist vanity project financial comedy thrillers a reality. At every turn something ridiculous will happen in Scammerhead and you'll think, there's no way that it can get crazier, and then our heroic lead Cylus Breece will close his eyes, start twiddling his fingers and then proceed to exposit the most insane hairbrain scheme to make money you've ever heard. The spiral of obsurdity only goes deeper the longer you watch the film and it ends in spectacular fashion on a note of crazy you will never forget.
While 'All About Mighty Lady' is fairly surface level as far as obscure straight to video japanese media goes, I think its the perfect level of weird to start out the journey into the world of weird media I find online. Mostly run of the mill as far as Vcinema tokusatsu goes, there are a few key points that make Might lady worth the esoterica title. The clip show delivery of what feels like somewhere between 4 and 8 random seperate short films spliced together, along with the slightly teriffying design of the mighty lady herself, and one perticularly riverting scene involving garfield combine to make the 25 minutes that comprise Mighty Lady well worth the time for any and all fans of the weird and wonderful.
The Devilman OVAs have it all, demons, nightclubs, cool cars, gay boys, the occult and hyperviolent murder gore, if your at all intrigued by any of these things Devilman is for you. The tale of a kind hearted morally upstanding young man being dragged into the world of demons by his blonde bad boy ex boyfriend, 'Devilman: The Birth" is a wonderfully well constructed story about a lot of biblical, demonic, occult and theological ideas, but far more importantly its about two gay anime soft boys hanging out and being boyfriends. The relationship between our leads Ryo and Akira alone are more than enough reason to set aside a tight 50 minutes to watch the first Devilman film, and yet it still takes the time to construct a super well established world of grim occultism with genuinly gorgeously animated blood guts and goop at every turn.
'Devilman: Demon Bird Sirene' has a lot of it's best traits in common with the first but it leans far more into the world of demons and less on Akira's relationship with Ryo. While I think it's definitely a bit weaker than the first it's still absolutely worth the watch, especially considering the english dub has one of the all time worst lines I've ever heard in a movie and it deserves to be heard.
'El Santo & Blue Demon against the Monsters' is genuinely one of the most fun ways you can possibly spend roughly 90 minutes. Following the GOAT himself El Santo teaming up with his long time, fictional best friend/tag partner/gay love interest, and real life rival the Blue Demon challenging a suspiciously lenin looking evil scientist who resurects a series of ghoulish creatures to kill his family. Featuring but not limited to a roster of Dracula, the wolf man, several green men, 2 count em' 2 different vampire ladies, and a cyclops who lives underwater in a bog, Santo and Blue demon against the monsters is one of the most action packed features North of the equator and worth the watch for literally anyone (if you don't enjoy this movie genuinely I don't trust you like you may actually be evil).
Also for the upload I've linked here, turn off the auto dub and turn on closed captions to watch it in spanish with english subs
